Thanksgiving weekend in Madison, WI (2026): turkey trots, dinner out and what's open
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026, and in Madison the Friday after is Ho-Chunk Day, a city holiday, so city offices, the library and trash pickup take Friday off too. Here's how to plan the long weekend, from a race on Thanksgiving morning to dinner you don't have to cook. Everything was checked on official and restaurant sites in November 2026; menus and seatings sell out, so book early.
