Martial arts schools in Stoughton, WI

Choosing a martial arts school in the Madison area

Watch a class or take a free trial before signing up. Look at how instructors handle beginners and kids, how much hands-on supervision there is, and whether the focus is on fitness, self-defense, competition or tradition.

Ask about the total cost, including uniforms, gear, testing or belt fees, and whether you're signing a long-term contract. Read the cancellation terms before you sign.

For kids' programs, ask about class size, age groups and whether instructors are background-checked.
