For delivery, ordering directly from the restaurant usually saves fees and puts more of the money in the shop's pocket than an app does. Ask whether they deliver to your neighborhood; many independents have tight delivery zones.
Every restaurant in Madison and Dane County is licensed and inspected each year by Public Health Madison & Dane County, and you can read its inspection reports with the health department's online lookup.
