Choosing a pet boarding & daycare in Madison
Tour the facility before the first stay. Look at where pets sleep and play, how dogs are grouped, and how staff supervise playtime. Ask about overnight staffing, what happens if a pet gets sick, and which veterinarian they use.
Expect to show vaccination records. Wisconsin law requires dogs to be vaccinated against rabies by 5 months of age, and boarding and daycare businesses usually set their own additional vaccine rules, so ask early.
Many daycares start new dogs with a trial day or temperament check. Book holiday stays well ahead, since spots fill up.
