Choosing a cabinet & countertop company in the Madison area
Visit a showroom or slab yard before you decide. With natural stone, ask to see or reserve the actual slab, because color and veining vary. Quartz is more uniform and needs no sealing; granite and marble need occasional sealing.
Ask whether the quote includes templating, the sink cutout, edge profile, backsplash, removal of old countertops and plumbing reconnection. Lead times for custom cabinets can run many weeks, so ask early.
Under Wisconsin's home improvement rules, if you're asked to pay anything before the work is finished, the agreement has to be in writing.
