Landscapers in Middleton, WI

Choosing a landscaper in the Madison area

Decide first whether you need design, installation, ongoing maintenance, or all three. Some firms do everything; others specialize.

For hardscaping like patios, walls and walkways, ask about base preparation and drainage. Wisconsin's freeze-thaw cycles heave pavers that aren't set on a properly compacted base.

Ask about native plants. They're well suited to southern Wisconsin's climate, need less water once established, and support pollinators. Get the plan, plant list and a written estimate, and ask what's guaranteed if plantings don't survive their first winter.
