Choosing an interior designer in Madison
Ask how they charge: a flat fee, an hourly rate, a percentage of the project, or a markup on furnishings. Each changes your total cost, so get it in writing.

Look through full projects, and ask whether they handle construction work such as kitchens and baths or focus on furnishings and finishes. For remodels, ask how they work with your contractor.
A good designer will ask how you actually live in the space before showing you options.
