Golf courses in Madison: good to know
The City of Madison runs four public golf courses: Odana Hills and Yahara Hills (18 holes each) and Monona and The Glen Golf Park (9 holes each). Yahara Hills has been rebuilt from 36 holes into a renovated 18-hole course, scheduled to debut for the 2026 season. Tee times are booked online, and the city season runs from spring opening day into early November.

The city offers loyalty cards and discounts for juniors, college students and season pass holders. Private and semi-private clubs around Dane County add more options, many with leagues and lessons.
In the off-season, indoor golf centers and simulators keep your swing going through the winter.
