Choosing a garage door service in Madison
Garage door springs and cables are under heavy tension, and adjusting or replacing them is one job best left to a professional.

Ask for the price of the full repair before the technician starts, and whether they're quoting a single part or a set (springs are often replaced in pairs). For a new door, compare insulation ratings, which matter in a Wisconsin winter if the garage is attached or heated.
Get the warranty on parts and labor in writing. Under Wisconsin's home improvement rules, if you're asked to pay anything before the work is finished, the agreement has to be in writing.
