Pick items up promptly. Under Wisconsin law, a shop can sell clothes that haven't been picked up for six months or more, after sending you a registered letter at least 30 days before the sale.
For wash-and-fold or pickup and delivery service, ask whether pricing is by the pound or the bag, and how they handle items that need hang-drying.
