Choosing a dog trainer in Madison
Dog training isn't licensed, so ask about a trainer's education and certifications and how they keep their skills current.

Ask what methods they use. Many trainers favor reward-based training. Be cautious of anyone who promises fast fixes for serious behavior problems or relies on pain or intimidation.
For aggression or anxiety, ask whether they work with your veterinarian or a veterinary behaviorist.
