Facials, waxing and other skin care are aesthetics, which Wisconsin licenses through the Cosmetology Examining Board. Both the aesthetician and the spa need a license, posted in a conspicuous place, and you can check them at license.wi.gov. Massage is licensed separately: Wisconsin requires massage therapists and bodywork therapists to hold their own state license and display it where they work.
